Winter Sports Preview: Bees are elevating their games

The Bees are the two-time defending Section V Class BB champions and despite losing some talented wrestlers to graduation, expect them to be right back in contention again this season.

Rich Hannan enters his fourth year at the helm and following a 47-6 record in his first two seasons, Byron-Bergen had four sectional winners last season as it edged Canisteo-Greenwood for the crown. And despite three of those winners having graduated in Will Thompson, Adam Walter and Chase Toal, as well as sectional runner-up Brendan Marsocci — the Bees have plenty of talent returning this winter.
