BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo wrestling team will host Cornell on Monday night at the UB Center for the Arts in what is being called "Mayhem on the Mainstage." It marks the first time a wrestling match will be held in the campus' theatrical venue.

Buffalo is 3-3 overall and 2-0 in the Mid-American Conference. The Bulls are coming off a come-from-behind 16-15 win at Kent State last Sunday. UB was led by Brett Perry whose major decision was the difference in the dual. For his efforts, Perry was named the Mid-American Conference Wrestler of the Week on Wednesday.

Cornell is ranked 12th in the nation and won its only dual of the season, 30-10, over 13th-ranked Northern Iowa on November 17. The Big Red has four wrestlers in the national rankings, including 141-pounder Yianni Diakomihalis who is ranked 3rd, 165-pounder Jon Jay Chavez who is ranked 16th, 174-pounder Brandon Womak who is ranked 16th and 194-pounder Max Dean who is ranked 11th.

This will be the 11th meeting between Buffalo and Cornell. The Big Red holds a 6-4 advantage in the all-time series, including an 18-15 win last season at Cornell. This will be Cornell's first trip to Buffalo since the 2000 campaign.
