Just a mere three weeks ago, the Press detailed a new chapter in Matthew Evans' athletic career: the Randolph Central School had signed on to run cross country at Coastal Carolina University, as Press Reporter Deb Everts wrote.

Last week, he accepted a scholarship to help his collegiate endeavors thanks in part to his involvement in another sport, wrestling. Evans accepted the Cauliflower Alley Club Award at the Ilio DiPaolo Scholarship Committee's 23rd Annual Scholarship Awards Dinner on Monday, May 21. The committee honored five Western New York wrestlers with scholarships, led by Southwestern's Giuseppe Hoose, who won the prestigious Ilio DiPaolo Award.
