Depew/Cleve Hill grapplers eyeing success
December 05, 2018

Several of the founding members of the merged Depew/Cleveland Hill wrestling team are no longer with the program, but that's not stopping coach Mike Lobuzzetta and his 2018-19 squad from aiming to do well this season, both from an individual and a team perspective.

In fact, the makeup of this winter's squad reminds Lobuzzetta of the inaugural merged team, a fact that only bodes well for Depew/Cleveland Hill.

"We might be a little inexperienced and raw, but the guys on this year's team are gritty and have great character, what has shown through their toughness and commitment not to give up," Lobuzzetta said. "We are working harder in the room and are starting to develop that same culture we had when we first started the program five years ago. The boys are becoming closer every day and wanting each other to succeed, and that is extremely important for the team culture and atmosphere."
