2019 Inductees

Brian Aparo (Victor) wrestled at Victor under Coach Tom Mandara. He was a 2-time Section V Champion and a 2-time NYSPHSAA tournament place winner, finishing runner-up in 1993 and 4th in 1994, bot at 132-lbs. He was a 2-time NYS Cadet Freestyle champion. He was a 2-year starter at the University of Michigan before sustaining a career ending injury.

Kyle Borshoff (Pittsford) wrestled at Pittsford-Mendon High School. He was a 4 time Sectional Champion from 2003-2006. In the NY State Tournament, he was third in 2004 and fifth in 2005. Kyle was the NY State Champion in 2006. He continued his career at American University where he was a Division I All American. He is currently the head wrestling coach at Binghamton University.

Scott Freischlag (Wayne) was the varsity coach at Wayne for 23 years, with a winning record for every one of those years. His teams recorded 243 victories and were Class Sectional champions 8 times. He coached 5 NYSPHSAA state champions and 72 Class Sectional champions. He was named Coach of the Year several times. In 2018, Scott was inducted into the NY Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame for his Lifetime Service to Wrestling.

Trevor Graham (Spencerport) wrestled at Spencerport under Hall of Fame coach Walt Tieke. During his 5 year varsity career, he was a 3 time Section 5 Champion and was runner up twice. He was NY State Tournament runner up in 1981. He also placed in National Freestyle and Greco tournaments. He attended Appalachian State where he was Southern Conference Champion. He later graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from RIT and currently resides in Florida.

Rich McPhee (East Rochester) wrestled at East Rochester under Hall of Fame coach Don Quinn. He was Section V champion and NYSPHSAA state champion in 1974. He is a West Point graduate and retired from the U.S. Army as a Brigadier General after 33 years of service which included combat tours in Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. His numerous awards include the Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit and Bronze Star. He currently lives in Georgia.

Wonder Scott (Franklin) wrestled at Ben Franklin High where he was Sectional Champion in 1962 and 1963. He continued his wrestling career later at MCC where he was a qualifier for Jr College Nationals and at the same time he was an outstanding boxer who was advancing in the National Golden Gloves Tournament. Wonder will be inducted posthumously.

Donald Williams (Kendall) wrestled at Kendall for Hall of Fame Coach Jim Sauberan. He was a 2 time Sectional Champion and an All American soccer player. In 2003, he was 5th in the NY State
Tournament and he was the NY State Champion in 2004. He later wrested at SUNY Brockport where he was Empire Conference Collegiate Champion.
