Brockport Walks Away With A Pair Of Victories

BRADFORD, Pa.—The College at Brockport wrestling team defeated two teams on Saturday as they traveled to University Pitt-Bradford for a tri-meet. The Golden Eagles kicked it off with a 35-14 win over Thiel College, before then defeating the host Panthers, 40-12.

Win: Brockport 35 - Thiel College 14

The Green and Gold started the day with four straight victories, including three consecutive pin falls by Matt Caccamise (125), Donald McCoy (133), Zack Barker (141). Ryan Snow (149) secured an 18-3 technical fall. Mattew Kline continued winning momentum with a 6-3 decision in the 165-weight class, and it was quickly followed by a pin fall by Bryce Rowe in the 174-weight class. Calik Kennedy wrapped up the matchup with an 11-4 decision, as he represented the 285-weight class.

Win: Brockport 40 - Pitt-Bradford 12

The Golden Eagles were once again dominate as they battled the Panthers. The victories continued with four straight wins in the 125, 133, 141, 149 weight classes. Neiko Scarano kicked it off with a 5-3 decision, before McCoy secured a pin fall. Barker continued momentum with a 10-2 major decision that was followed by a medical forfeit that gave Snow a win. After a tough loss, Brockport rallied off four more wins starting with Kline securing an 11-5 decision in the 165-weight class. Christopher Eames (174), Rowe (184) and Joe Yanis (197) wrapped up their battles with pin falls to help secure the victory.
