McKendree University's Joye Levendusky, Avon grad, placed 7th at WCWA Nationals and achieved All-American status in her freshman campaign. Her 155 weight class included 45 wrestlers from the top female programs in the country.

Levendusky received a bye in Round of 64, scored a tech fall over Breanna Jennings of Wayland Baptist in the Round of 32, defeated #7 seed Alexia Foca of Campbellsville 9-7 in the Round of 16 before falling to the #2 seed in the quarterfinals. Her next match featured a showdown with former NY teammate Hailey Cancelleri of King University. Cancelleri was a Fargo national champion. Levendusky countered a shot in the first period to score the fall and advance to the top 8, making her an All-American. On Day 2, Levendusky faced McKendree teammate Jasmine Bailey, currently ranked #7 in the country. She lost that battle 3-2 after a last second takedown was reversed, which would have given her the 4-3 win. That loss put Levendusky in the 7th place match, where she pinned Myranda Velazquez of Jamestown, ND.

Levendusky finishes her freshman season 24-7, placing in four tournaments and becoming an All-American at WCWA Nationals.
