Strong contingent of local Wild Card selections in Albany

ALBANY - For most wrestlers, the only way to earn a spot at the New York State Championships is to finish atop the podium in Brockport at the NYS Qualifiers.

But every year, the NYS Championships rewards about four wrestlers in each class from across the state with wildcard entries based on how well they had performed throughout the season.
