PLATTSBURGH — Section VII had four matmen place in last year's New York State Public High School Athletic Association Division II Wrestling Championships.

Saranac's Jacob Nolan was a state champion at 170 pounds, Northern Adirondack's Jace Filion a state runner-up at 195, Peru's Logan Dubuque fifth at 126 and Beekmantown's Kaeden Peryea sixth at 138.

All four, however, have graduated, and local wrestlers will be hoping to make a name for themselves at this year's event, being held today and Saturday at the Albany Times-Union Center.
