Perhaps the aspect of Dante Geislinger's repertoire that separates him from many others in the state is his strength.

Once the two-time state champion from Norwich gets a grasp of an opponent, back points follow in short order and the other guy is normally powerless to stop it.

"Strength is one of the most important things," Geislinger said after his technical fall victory over Fredonia's David Ball in a 113-pound semifinal during Friday's opening day of the NYSPHSAA Wrestling Championships at Albany's Times Union Center.
