#6 SUNY BROCKPORT WRESTLING DEFEATS R.I.T.
Golden Eagles win 44-3

BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The SUNY Brockport wrestling team, ranked sixth nationally in Division III, defeated R.I.T, 44-3 Wednesday night at Tuttle North Gymnasium. Brockport won nine of the 10 bouts for the night.

At 125 pounds, Salvador Cruz (Long Beach/Long Beach) defeated Jason Clinch (Durhamville, NY) 20-8. In the 133 matchup, Tony D'Ambra (Caledonia/Caledonia-Mumford) defeated Constock with a fall at 4:32. At 141 pounds, fourth ranked nationally, Dan Roberts (Bellport/Bellport) defeated Mike Pietrowski (Cobleskill, NY) 13-1

In the 149, Dan Song (Smithtown/Hauppauge) defeated David Bisers (Allison Park, PA) 15-2, while Romaine Malcolm (Amityville/Amityville) lost to Chad Sutliff (Linesville, PA) 9-4. Artie Weidler (Patchogue/Patchogue), ranked #1 nationally at 165 pounds, defeated Sean Dust (Verona, NY) 22-5.

Brandon Clark (Linwood/York) was also a victor by fall at 174 pounds and #7 ranked Rich D'Amico (Liverpool/Cicero North Syracuse) defeated Joe DeMauro (New Hartford, NY) 11-2. Robert Cuffie (Bay Shore/Brentwood), ranked #1 at 165, won 25-9 against Micah Vore (Waterloo, IA). At heavyweight, Arnold Frost (Ithaca/Ithaca) was a winner by fall at 4:15 over Adam Abdelhamed (Seacaucus, NJ).

Brockport travels to Baldwin-Wallace on Saturday for an 8 a.m. match.
