RETURN TO PLAY: Protocols put in place as Livingston County allows higher risk sports to resume
February 01, 2021

GENESEO - Livingston DOH Director Jennifer Rodriguez will allow high risk sports to start practicing Feb. 1 with competitions beginning the following week in sports like boys and girls basketball, wrestling, ice hockey and competitive cheer.

With Governor Cuomo's announcement coming on Jan. 22 to allow high risk sports to start practicing this coming Monday, Livingston's latest agreement means all counties in Section V have adopted protocols for safely returning to play.

LCAA wrestling chairman Andy Englert said all teams will wrestle 10 matches as well, with eight blocks and two tri-meets for each team.
