WEBSTER - It was a banner day for the Batavia/Attica wrestling team, which continued its strong run after merging the two programs in 2017.

On Saturday, at the Class A2 Championships at Thomas High School, Batavia/Attica placed third overall and saw three of its wrestlers earn a sectional patch, including freshman Casper Stewart who became a three-time champ. The Blue Devils finished with 122.5 team points, while Penfield placed second with 152 points and Spencerport came in first with 161.5 points.
