Eleven from RIT wrestling earn 2020-21 NWCA Scholar All-American honors

ROCHESTER, NY ? Eleven members of the RIT Wrestling team earned 2021 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III Scholar All-American honors. Junior Chris Horton (Athens, PA/Athens Area) earned his third straight academic honor, while sophomores Nathan Osborne and Austin Lamb (Owego, NY/Tioga) make the list for the second straight season. They are joined by Andrew DiBernardo (West Chester, PA/West Chester East), Colby Hall (Deposit, NY/Deposit-Hancock), Colby Giroux (Richmond, VT/Mount Mansfield Union), Ian Houck (Rondout Valley, NY/Rondout Valley), Calik, Kennedy, James Ost (Sunnyvale, CA/Fremont), Alex Prunoske (Safety Harbor, FL/Clearwater Catholic) and Zach Stedeford (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny).

In order to be named a Scholar All-American, a wrestler must have a 3.2 grade-point average and competed in the national tournament with a minimum .500 winning percentage or have placed in the top-six at the NCAA Regional Tournament.
