Help Spencerport alum Dan DelDuca fight Crohn's and Chronic Pain
July 24, 2021

ARMDRAG NOTE: Danny is a Spencerport alum that is very ill.

Hello, my name is Andrew DelDuca and I am asking for you to help my brother, Dan DelDuca. Dan is my younger brother and he was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease at a young age. Crohn's disease is an autoimmune disease that typically effects the small intestines of your body, causing abdominal pain, inflammation and fatigue (among other symptoms).

Crohn's is a genetic disease and is typically diagnosed before the age of thirty. Dan was diagnosed at a young age, when he was 10 years old. For as long as I can remember, Dan has frequent "flare ups" causing him extreme joint pain, to the point where he is bed ridden. Dan's illness has drastically progressed in the past 10 years, causing him widespread chronic pain and arthritis throughout his entire body.

Dan has spent the last 20 years of his life seeking different medical opinions, as well as treatment plans that have claimed to help people suffering from this disease. He's tried medications recommended by doctors, herbal remedies, and extreme diet changes to help fight this disease. Most changes he has made have been minimal to nonexistent. Dan is now trying to explore his final option, stem cell treatment.

Stem cell treatment has been touted as very effective for most who have received it. However, as is part of life, there are no guarantees. The most promising and effective Stem Cell treatment is currently not offered in the United States, due to governmental regulations. Therefore, Dan needs to travel to Panama in order to receive treatment. This is a costly medical expense that he cannot endure on his own and he needs our help. I am asking for donations to help my brother. I have seen the pain and desperation on his face, time and time again. I know he is fighting an exhausting battle that he may never win. Any contribution, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated. Please help give my brother, Dan DelDuca, a chance at feeling pain free once again!
