BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo wrestling team swept Edinboro and Gannon on Friday to push their win streak to three. The Bulls opened with an impressive 26-9 win over Edinboro in the Mid-American Conference opener for both schools. The Bulls followed with a 30-9 win over the Gannon.

The Bulls wrestled their most complete dual of the season against the Fighting Scots, winning seven of the 10 matches.

Tristan Daugherty led things off with a 4-1 decision over Logan Jaquay at 125. The sophomore Illinois native was in control the entire match.

Derek Spann wasted little time with Clayton Bashor in the 133 bout. Spann needed only 2:31 to earn a 17-2 technical fall. His second straight tech fall extended the UB lead to 8-0.

Edinboro took the next two matches to cut the UB lead to 8-6. But any thoughts of a comeback were thwarted by Ty Raines in the 157 match. Raines was able to pin Alex Garee, 39 seconds into the third period, to extend the UB lead to 14-6.

Noah Grover followed with a 3-1 sudden victory at 165. Giuseppe Hoose extended the Buffalo advantage to 20-6 with a 5-2 decision over Joey Arnold for his first dual win of the season.

Sam Mitchell wore down Cody Mulligan for a 5-1 decision at 197 and Toby Cahill capped the victory with a 6-2 decision over Max Millin at 285.

The Bulls cruised to a victory over Gannon in the nightcap.

Spann had his second tech fall of the night with a 16-0 win over Aseel Almudhala at 133. Ben Freeman followed with an 18-6 major decision over Parker Loera to extend the UB lead to 9-3.

John Arceri had a tech fall of his own at 149, winning 15-0 over Hayden Butterfield.

After a 5-2 decision by Noah Grover at 165, Giuseppe Hoose followed with his first career fall in dual action, pinning Marquis McClorin in the second period.

Jake Lanning earned a 16-10 decision at 184 and Sam Mitchell earned a 16-1 major decision at 197 to complete the scoring.

The Bulls are back in action on December 11 against North Dakota State at Alumni Arena.
