The current WNY small school #2 ranked Newfane Panthers outpaced the top four area large schools - coincidentally, in current ranking order - to claim the prestigious Linda Knuutilla Memorial Tournament team title from Friday through Saturday at Niagara County Community College. The Panthers crowned two champions and placed six wrestlers to tally 161.5 points, pushing past second place Niagara Falls' 156 points to claim their second straight Memorial tournament title (last won in 2019; there was no tournament in 2020).
