AJ Ferrari no longer part of the Oklahoma State wrestling program

AJ Ferrari, Oklahoma State's 2021 national champion, is no longer a part of the program, according to an announcement from head coach John Smith, via Cody Nagel. He has not yet entered the NCAA transfer portal. Ferrari wrestled the past two seasons with the Cowboys but had his 2021-22 season cut short due to a car accident.



Ferrari's dismissal from the team is reportedly due to an "accumulation" of issues, according to InterMat's Seth Duckworth. Notably, a woman filed a protective order against Ferrari July 5 and the Stillwater Police Department also released a statement Wednesday saying Ferrari was accused of sexual assault.
