Garvey Resigns as Brockport State Head Wrestling Coach Due to Personal Reasons
September 06, 2022

Brockport wrestling coach Caleb Garvey resigned from his head coaching responsibilities due to personal reasons on Thursday evening. Brockport will begin a national search for a new head coach, effective immediately.

"Due to personal reasons surrounding family health situations I am unfortunately stepping down as Head Coach at SUNY Brockport and hopefully can pursue opportunities closer to family," said Garvey. "I would like to thank Brockport for giving me my first head coaching opportunity and trusting me with such a legendary program. I'll be rooting for these young men and can't wait to see what the future holds for these Golden Eagle wrestlers."

Garvey accepted the position at Brockport on July 14, 2022.

Brockport's storied wrestling tradition includes five NCAA team national championships, 27 individual national champions, and 147 All-Americans.
