Binghamton wrestling releases 2022-23 schedule

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton wrestling released its 2022-23 schedule Tuesday afternoon, featuring several familiar and new opponents. The Bearcats will again take on a tough regular season slate, which includes the likes of N.C. State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Cornell, Princeton and Lehigh to prepare for postseason wrestling come March.

Tournaments
BU will host the Jonathan Kaloust Bearcat Open No. 13, just a day after a season opening dual against Northern Colorado. It will be the 13th year the team hosts the open tournament. Binghamton will also compete at the Southern Scuffle to kick off the New Year Jan. 1-2.

Home duals
The Bearcats will host five duals this season. Following the matchup with Northern Colorado (Nov. 12), they will take on LIU (Dec. 10), Lehigh (Jan. 15), Hofstra (Jan. 26) and Princeton (Feb. 4).

Road Duals
Binghamton will hit the road for 10 duals, beginning with North Dakota State (Nov. 18). They will continue road action against Minnesota (Nov. 20), Buffalo (Nov. 27), NC State (Jan. 6), Appalachian State (Jan. 8), Drexel (Jan. 13), Harvard (Jan. 21), Navy (Jan. 29), American (Feb. 17) and Maryland (Feb. 17).

Neutral Dual Action
The team will face Indiana and Michigan State on December 4 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. It is one of eight teams competing at the Garden State Grapple in two duals. Other teams will be Princeton, Rutgers, Drexel, Indiana, Michigan State and Wisconsin. The final neutral dual of the season will be against Cornell at Hilton High School on February 10. The DePrez brothers return home to wrestle and Cornell's Yianni Diakomihalis will also compete at his former high school.

Postseason
EIWA Championships are March 4-5 at Penn. The 2023 NCAA Championship will be held in Tulsa, Okla., at the BOK Center March 16-18.
