BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo wrestling team kicked off the 2023-24 campaign by sweeping all four of their opponents at the Buffalo Duals held at Alumni Arena on Wednesday afternoon. UB defeated Brockport, 47-4, Seton Hill, 36-7, NCCC, 49-0, and Glenville State, 36-15.

The afternoon proved to be a good tune-up for the season, as a number of different wrestlers were able to take the mat and get valuable experience. In all, 21 different wrestlers saw action on the day, with 20 of them coming away victorious. Eleven different Bulls had at least two wins on the afternoon, with Andy Lucinsky (141) and Chase Kranitz (184) leading the way with three wins apiece.

"It was a good day for us," head coach John Stutzman said. "I thought we wrestled well and we definitely saw things we need to continue to work on. With the NCAA rules regarding the two-hour weigh-ins, it was extremely important to come out and compete hard and we did."

The Bulls are back in action at the Clarion Open on Sunday.
