Elmira's Tuttle and Green Record Victories for Men?s Wrestling at Bomber Invitational

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Elmira College men's wrestling program had a trio of grapplers advance through the consolation bracket and into day two of competition on Saturday at the Bomber Invitational hosted by Ithaca College at the IC Athletics and Events Center.

Darius Green '24 and Caleb Tuttle '26 each recorded victories on Saturday before seeing their hopes for a podium finish cut short for the Soaring Eagles.

After going 2-1 on Friday and advancing to the consolation round three bracket at 149 pounds, Blake O'Brien '24 would see his tournament come to an end following his opening bout of the day. O'Brien would be pinned by Mason Preble from Springfield in a time of 1:52.

Tuttle opened his day at 197 pounds for the Soaring Eagles with a victory via medical forfeit in the consolation second round over Colton Perkins from Castleton. In the consolation third round, Dustin Koskinen-Falls from Oswego State would pin Tuttle in a time of 2:20 to bring an end to the tournament for Tuttle.

Green would notch his third victory of the tournament for the Soaring Eagles via a 7-2 decision against Hayden Gaudette from American International in the consolation third round. Green would be matched up against Noah Dehainaut from Muskingum in the consolation fourth round where he would drop a 6-2 decision to see his tournament run come to an end.
