Brockport Plays Host for Brockport Duals on Saturday

Brockport, NY - The Brockport wrestling team will be home on Saturday, November 11th at 12 pm to host the Brockport Duals. The Golden Eagles will take on Oswego State, Penn College, and Niagara County Community College.

Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles took 6th out of 10 teams at the Mount Union Invitational, with several Golden Eagles turning in strong performances. Brockport finished in front of the host college Mount Union.

Liam Bullock improved his 2023 record to 7-2, scoring 20.5 points for Brockport and earning 3rd overall in the 125 lb. division.

Kiam Coleman earned 7th overall in the 174 lb. division, finishing with a 3-2 record on the day.

Max Ebanks went 4-2 on the day in the 185 lb division, finishing 6th and scoring 14 points.

Logan Palmeri turned in a strong outing in the 157 lb division, going 4-2 and scoring 12 points for the team. Palmeri took 7th overall after defeating Clayton Smith of ONU in the 7th-place match.

Nick Franco rolled to a 3-2 record in the 285 lb division, finishing 7th and scoring 11.5 points for Brockport. Franco took all of his 3 victories by pinfall.

Scouting Oswego: The Lakers will compete in their first dual this weekend, most recently finishing 5th at the Ithaca College Invitational. Bryce Smith impressed at Ithaca, picking up 3 wins and posting a 20-15 record in 2022, including an All-Conference selection.

Scouting Penn College: Penn College finished right behind Oswego at the Ithaca College Invitational, taking 6th place. Sophomore Isaac Cory holds a #4 ranking nationally in the 184 lb weight class following a strong performance at Ithaca. Cory posted a 4-0 record en route to a victory at the Ithaca Invite.

Scouting NCCC: The Thunder Wolves will enter on Saturday with a 1-4 record, most recently defeating Muskegon CC 30-24 last Friday. Sophomore Ethan Ferro scored a lightning-quick win to lead the charge, winning is 165 lb matchup by pin in just 28.

Up Next: The Golden Eagles will head to RIT in Rochester for the SUNYAC championships on Saturday, November 18th at 10 a.m.
