The first thing you notice when walking into the University at Buffalo's Center for the Arts is the force of the building's acoustics.

As wrestlers from two local high school programs circled, stepped and grappled on the stage, the voices of two coaches echoed off the cushioned walls of the angled concert hall, occasionally interrupted by the squeaks of wrestling shoes against a regulation-sized wrestling mat stretched across the stage.
