Oswego State Splits Results in Sunday Tri-Meet

OSWEGO, NY - The Wrestling team hosted a tri-meet with Ithaca College and Nassau Community College at Laker Hall on a snowy Sunday afternoon. The Lakers would split the results on the day with a win over Nassau Community College and a loss to Ithaca College.

Oswego 10, Ithaca 29

HOW IT HAPPENED

In the Lakers first dual of the day for the Lakers, the home squad saw several strong performances winning 6 of the 10 matchups.

Michael Santore, Gabe Goss, Tyler Rossini, Charlie Grygas, Bryce Smith, and Anthony Cascen would all earn points for the Lakers securing a 26-16 victory over the visitors from Nassau.
In their second dual of the day, Oswego took on the Ithaca Bombers in a test that proved to be more difficult for the home side.

Gabe Goss, Charlie Grygas, and Anthony Cascen would pick up points for the Lakers but it wouldn't be enough as Ithaca would come away with the team victory 29-10.

WHAT'S NEXT

The Lakers will hit the road next weekend for the Budd Whitehill Nationals Dual Tournament hosted by Lycoming College. The two day event will begin on January 12th and conclude on the 13th.
