For Ryan Thierman, the return to his hometown to coach the Portville wrestling team came with an understandable shift in the dynamic within the Panthers.

Previously having coached at Franklinville, Thierman inherited a nearly full lineup. But once he truly got a glimpse of the team's depth, along with the great results they had in the beginning of the season, he knew that this team was special.
