Job Summary:

SUNY Brockport is currently accepting application for a head wrestling coach. The person in this role will administer and manage all functions and oversight of the wrestling program. They will provide an excellent, transformative student-athlete experience. They will demonstrate positive progress in competitive standing in the SUNYAC Conference, recruit student-athletes to the college and maintain roster standards set annually by the Athletic Director.

Athletic Responsibilities:

- Coaching - 35%
- Recruiting - 30%
- Game/Practice Preparation/Scheduling - 20%
- Player Evaluations - 5%
- Team Travel - 10%

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
- Three years Wrestling coach experience at a NCAA member institution and proven track record of recruiting success.
- Knowledge and compliance with NCAA and DIII rules and regulations. This includes taking and passing the annual NCAA Division III rules test.
- Knowledge of Front Rush software.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Certification in CPR, first aid, must complete AED training within three months after hire.
- Successful completion of a background check is mandatory.
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
- Secure a New York State driver's license within three months after hire to drive State owned vehicles.
- Complete Van Safety Certification within three months after hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's Degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
- Collegiate playing experience.
- Previous experience as a collegiate head coach.
- Previous experience supervising professional coaching staff.  
- Demonstrated commitment to the Division III philosophy.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Salary and Benefits:

The Minimum Salary for this position is $60,773.
