ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) - Here is the Elite award for girls wrestling.

Our girls wrestling award winner has to balance academics with two winter sports. In wrestling, she was 7-8 competing against the boys and 16-0 against girls.

She won the Wayne Finger Lakes Heavyweight Division, and then went on to become the first ever Section V Heavyweight champion.

The freshman followed that with a state title in wrestling and the next day, she won the shot put in her division at states.
