Matthew Trim, center, received a Commendation from the Chautauqua County Legislature. Trim, a senior at Maple Grove High School, was a state champion in wrestling for the 2023-24 season. He qualified for the New York State Public High School Athletic Association wrestling championship, where he won the 215 pound state title. Pictured with him on his right are his parents. The Commendation was read by Legislature Chairman Pierre Chagnon of Bemus Point, left, and County Executive PJ Wendel.
