Alfred University vs. Norwich University

![]() Adverse traveling conditions and poor officiating are ascribed as the reasons for Alfred's disappointing defeat at Northfield, Vt., on Feb. 13. The team was forced to traverse sixty-five miles of flood country after spending the two preceding nights on a sleeper to reach Northfield but one hour before the match was called. Consequently the Purple were in no condition for the meet and lost to a distinctly mediocre team by the score of 20-1/2 to 6-1/2. The Alfred Sun, February 23, 1928.
