1960-1961 Geneva Panthers
 VARSITY WRESTLING. Geneva customarily boasts a strong wrestling team. This year was no exception even though the Panthers were not able to hold on to their conference championship. The Geneva grapplers opened the season with a bang, winning their first three matches before being stopped by a tough Dansville team. After Dansville the Panthers went on to beat C.A. in a close match. They rolled up an impressive number of wins to give them another winning season, but unfortunately lost a few crucial meets which spelled the loss of their championship. Geneva had three semi-finalists vying for state shields. Mr. Leach was unable to coach the team the last few weeks so Mr. Morrissette proved an able substitute. Co-captains Pete Blum and Dick Atkinson were among the group of Seniors whose graduation will leave Mr. Leach with a few holes to fill, but most Genevans look forward to another strong wrestling team.
