Hilton once again took the top spot in the Division 1 team race at the state tournament, this time prevailing by 4.5 points over Monroe Woodbury.

Greg Diakomihalis (113) and Louie DePrez (182) picked up additional state championships (the second for Diakomihalis and the third for DePrez), while Austin Hertel (126) joined them in the finals and finished with silver. Yianni Diakomihalis most certainly would have added a ton of points, but the team performed well even without the injured four-time state champion in the lineup.

Mike Spallina (195) ended his strong career this weekend, but Greg Diakomihalis, Ryan Burgos (99) and Sammy DePrez (170) will all return in 2018, looking to lead the Cadets to number five.
