Ithaca's Ashcraft, O'Brien Take Home Division Titles at York's Spartan Invitational

YORK, Pa. - The No. 5 Ithaca College wrestling team returned to the mats following a week off for the Thanksgiving holiday when it headed to Keystone State for the annually competitive New Standard Spartan Invitational, hosted by York College (Pa.). The Bombers did not show any rust despite the two-week hiatus from competitive action, racking up a season-high 135.50 team points in a second-place finish in the highly competitive 17-team field.

Fourth-ranked Johnson & Wales (R.I.) was able to narrowly edge the Bombers for the team title, finishing with 141.50 team points. No. 9 Baldwin Wallace finished third behind Ithaca with 130.50 points, while North Central (88.0 points) and No. 14 York (Pa.) (71.50 points) rounded out the Top-5. In total, there were nine ranked teams that sent contingents in the 17-team field.
