Bolivar-Richburg wins Class B title in front of home crowd
February 04, 2018

BOLIVAR - There's a first time for everything.

For Bolivar-Richburg, it began on Friday, as the Wolverines hosted the Section V, Class B tournament for the very first time in school history, as 16 schools including the host Wolverines did battle for supremacy on the mat.

It was standing room only inside the newly renovated gym, as the day closed out with the crowning of 15 champions on the mat. When it was all said and done, it was the team championship trophy that mattered most.

The Wolverines made sure it was a Class B championship to remember, as the hosts hoisted the Section V title to their home crowd after dominating the field with 235 points, over 60 points more than second-place Alexander. Despite only one individual Section V title winner, Bolivar-Richburg's talented depth made the difference.
