Section 4 wrestlers look to break through after 2017 shutout
February 20, 2018

For some sections, a year or two of struggles might not be a big deal.

But when a section has produced 151 state titles, including from the likes of Troy Nickerson, Kyle Dake, J.P. O'Connor and Josh Glenn, let's go ahead and call it a drought.

Section 4 will send 42 wrestlers to Albany this weekend, looking for a reversal of fortunes.

The two-day New York State Public High School Athletic Association Wrestling Championships start at 10 a.m. Friday at the Times Union Center in Albany.

When wrestling concludes Saturday night, 30 wrestlers will have climbed to the top step of the awards podium.
