Niagara-Wheatfield may not have the team titles to prove it, but it has been as dominant as ever in Section VI wrestling this season. So much so that for the first time in school history, the Falcons will bring five wrestlers to Albany to compete in the Division I (large school) state championships this weekend.

"It's a good feeling, they're all underclassmen," coach Rick Sweeney said. "There's no seniors in our lineup which is good because they'll be back next year."

Colin Coughenour is a seventh-grader who will compete in the 99-pound weight class. In the 126-pound class is Justin McDougald, who earned his third trip to the NYS championships by winning his third sectional title. In the 113-pound class last year, McDouglald placed second in the state.
