February 22, 2018

PHILADELPHIA — Indian River wrestler Logan Patterson is proving that you can go home again.

The Warriors sophomore has put together a superb season in his return to the program. Patterson spent the 2016-17 season with the combined Copenhagen-Beaver River program, but returned in great fashion with a 33-2 record and a Section 3 Division I title at 120 pounds.

"I've been going here my whole life, but it's nice to be back," Patterson said.

He'll start his quest for the state title Friday at the Times Union Center in Albany at the NYSPHSAA championships. Patterson is the third seed and will take on Dan Gibson of Section 8's Port Washington. Patterson has racked up an impressive winning streak of 17 matches, and has not lost since the Windsor Christmas tournament Dec. 28.
