NYSPHSAA Announces Agreement with NFHS Network
September 23, 2018

ATLANTA, GA (September 20, 2018) — The NFHS Network has signed an agreement with the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) for streaming of NYSPHSAA State Championship events on its all-digital network. New York is the 43rd NFHS-member state association to join the NFHS Network.

The agreement is for 10 years beginning with the 2018-19 school year. The Network will provide live streaming through its online subscription platform at www.NFHSNetwork.com.

"Partnering with the NFHS Network will allow the NYSPHSAA to promote and highlight the NYSPHSAA Championships to another level," said NYSPHSAA Executive Director Dr. Robert Zayas. "In the past, some of our schools were not able to access content; now anyone in the world will have the opportunity to watch NYSPHSAA Regionals and Championship events. This is certainly an exciting change for the student-athletes of New York State."

Through this partnership, NYSPHSAA schools will become involved in the NFHS Network School Broadcast Program (SBP). Schools participating in the SBP can stream regular-season and playoff events for their fans throughout the year. In addition, schools can earn revenue by selling subscriptions to the Network.

"The NFHS Network is enthusiastic to work with the New York State Public High School Athletic Association," said NFHS Network CEO Mark Koski. "We appreciate the opportunity to show the scope of what the NFHS Network can do; making live games accessible to spectators from around the world is just the beginning. We are thankful for this new partnership and look forward to getting started."

The NFHS Network will also cover regular-season and postseason events around the state through five-year agreements with Sections 2, III, V, VI, VII, IX and X of the NYSPHSAA. The NFHS Network will be recognized as the exclusive streaming home to NYSPHSAA Championship events.
