Back 2 back: Hornell wins second consecutive Avoca Duals

AVOCA — There were 10 local wrestling clubs that gathered together to open up the 2018-19 wrestling season at the annual Avoca Duals in Avoca.
And for the second season in a row, the Hornell Red Raiders were able to cruise past the competition in order to come away with the overall team championship.
Hornell dominated the round robin play in the morning, earning the top seed in its pool. The Red Raiders then defeated Marcus Whitman/Penn Yan by a 54-30 final in the final match of the day in order to earn the win.
