NT coach Wally Maziarz said last year's team failed to win a dual meet and through the first two weeks of the season, the Lumberjacks have won five duals, including two at the Springville Duals Saturday.

Despite forfeiting five weight classes, the Lumberjacks defeated Wilson and Springville, and lost to Lackawanna, Eden and Olean, to finish fourth out of eight teams.

"We are taking a step in the right direction," Maziarz said. "I'm happy with the effort so far."

Senior captain Tyler Bartolomei was named Most Outstanding Wrestler, finishing 4-0 at 113 pounds - all by pins - and then bumped up to 120 against Olean to win by a point. Bartolomei is 15-0 on the year.
