Brockport Wrestling Begins 2019-20 Season at Home this Weekend

BROCKPORT, NY - The College at Brockport wrestling program is set to open up its 2019-20 season at home on Friday and Saturday. The Golden Eagles will host Penn State Behrend in a dual meet on Friday night at 7 p.m. They will turn right back around on Saturday to host the Brockport Open at 10 a.m. Both events will take place in the College's Special Events & Recreation Center (SERC) on campus.

Saturday's Brockport Open will feature teams from all across New York State and Pennsylvania. The team entries include Alfred State, Binghamton, Buffalo, Finger Lakes Wrestling Club, Jamestown Community College, Niagara Community College, Penn State Behrend, RPI, Scranton and SUNY Sullivan.

Key returners for the Golden Eagles include Zack Brown, Matt Caccamise, Matt Kline and Chris Eames.

Brockport Head Coach Don Murray is entering his 50th season as head coach of the Golden Eagle wrestling program. He is the longest tenured active coach in NCAA Div. III. With an impressive record of five NCAA team titles, 13 Final Four appearances, a National Dual Meet championship, 36 Conference and three New York State Collegiate titles, and 142 All-Americans.
