The NYS federation championships begin on Friday, February 28th in downtown Albany at Times Union Center. The 58th edition of the state championships is the culmination of the 2019-2020 high school wrestling season in New York. The state championships began in 1964 and for the first decade of the event, wrestlers only placed back to four places in each of the thirteen weight classes in one division including large and small public schools.
