ALBANY, N.Y. (Feb. 27, 2020) — Discover Albany will welcome visiting athletes for the New York State Public High School Athletic Association's 2020 High School Wrestling Championships, held Feb. 28-29 in the Times Union Center in Downtown Albany.

These high school athletes, coaches, and their families will bring more than $1.19 million in direct spending. The NYSPHSAA's Wrestling Championships have held their event in Albany annually since 2009.

Hundreds of high school wrestlers will compete on the floor of the Times Union Center, bringing the teams and their families to Albany County hotels, restaurants, and attractions. This event generates over 1,800 contracted room nights at hotels with athletes, families and wrestling enthusiasts.
