1930-1931 Monroe Redjackets
WRESTLING. The 1931 Monroe wrestling team completed its most successful season in several years by competing in the city-wide wrestling tourney in which two Monroe men won city championships. Milton Dibble, 105-pound class, and John DeFrancisco, 126-pound class each won the title in his respective division. The most outstanding victory for the team was that over Franklin - when Parker scored a fall in the 160-pound class to take the meet. Monroe tied for third place with East and Franklin, each winning two meets. SOURCE: Monrolog, 1931.
