Team History (61)

1962-1963 Marshall Jurists

WRESTLING. This year the Jurist matmen had a disappointing 1-7 record. The season's only win was against arch rival Charlotte. The wrestlers, mostly underclassmen, gained valuable experience for next year. The team heralded Matt Guarino, captain, Barry Shanley, the only senior, Tony Cotsworth, and Mike Cavellero, two outstanding sophomores. Next year the team will no doubt have an improved team and probably a winning season. KNEELING: T. Bopree, T. Borrelli, J. Spence, J. Williamson, R. Gossage, T. Counts. BACK ROW: T. Ertle, T. Cotsworth, B. Shanley, M. Guarino, V. Chacha, A. Andrews, F. Wasburn, A. Lane, M. Cavellero, F. Vito, H. Altobello, Coach St. James. SOURCE: 1963 John Quill.
