Section 9's Division I wrestling team was fifth, its highest finish since 2006, at the state championships last year. Nine wrestlers placed (top six) and all 21 qualifiers won at least one match.

Coaches believe this year's team, led by Warwick's Ryan Ferro and Monroe-Woodbury's Nick McShea, could be just as good.
