Only two Section III wrestlers - Dan Hunt of West Genesee and Nick Tighe of Phoenix -- have won three state championships.

This weekend, Holland Patent senior Alex Herringshaw will try to become the third.

Herringshaw and Holland Patent junior Hunter Richard are both favored to repeat - they are seeded first at 170 and 145 pounds, respectively - as Division II champions during the 54th annual New York State Public High School Wrestling Championships on Friday and Saturday at Albany's Times Union Center.
