Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton/Harpursville's Dylan Mondore made a surprise appearance at the New York State High School Wrestling Tournament on Friday at Times Union Center in Albany.

Mondore fell, 8-2, to Oxford's Garyn Huntley in the 220-pound Division II final of the Section 4 Tournament two weeks ago. Mondore was selected as an alternate for the state tournament and he found out two days ago that he'd get to wrestle. Huntley had to pull out of the tournament because of a knee injury.
