Alex Herringshaw of Holland Patent High School won his third straight state wrestling championship on Saturday night at the Time Union Center in Albany.
Herringshaw won the Division II 170-pound title match with a pin of Lyle Grant of Alden. It came at the 5:01 mark of the match.
When it was done, Herringshaw ran and jumped into the arms of Cory Proper, his training partner and coach from Verona.
