Wrestlers Ryan Thierman (Portville), Michael Boyle (Cooperstown), Konnor Kremer (Horseheads), and George VanValen (Ithaca) have been named the Alfred State #PioneerPinpoint Athletes of the Week.

All four Pioneers took home individual titles in their weight classes as the Pioneers won the NCWA Northeast Conference Championship in an event held at the University of New Hampshire.

Thierman took home the title at 125, Boyle at 133, Kremer at 165, and VanValen at 174.

This is the second time in the past three years that the Pioneers have won the Northeast Conference Championships.

The quartet along with Riley Andrews (York), Mitch Lattuca (Lancaster) and Gordon Trahan will head to the NCWA National Championships in Kissimmee, FL (University of Central Florida) March 10-12.
